The length is derived by treating the hose as two circular arcs: L = 2·√(R·Δ). This is the THEORETICAL MINIMUM; the manufacturer’s margin goes on top.
The live length is the FLEXIBLE part between the two end fittings; nipple and flange lengths are not included.
